Parece que o estardalhaço foi grande e a Intel decidiu dar um passo atrás no famigerado caso da licença de microcode que não permitia benchmarks. A situação chegou a um ponto onde o microcode não seria distribuído pelo Debian por conta desta nova limitação.

A nova licença pode ser encontrada online no 01.org, site opensource da Intel.

Parece que a Intel agiu realmente rápido antes que esta discussão tomasse proporções maiores.
